1. Redecorate Your Bedroom With Fragrance

Incense or potpourri can completely change the room’s atmosphere

Decorate your bedroom with potpourri by using items from your kitchen and/or garden. To make potpourri using herbs from your kitchen, place some cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and cloves in a sachet and place throughout your bedroom.

To make potpourri from your garden, clip some rose petals, or petals from other flowers with strong scents, and place them in a pretty bowl. It’s better if you dry the flowers first. You can enhance the flower scent with a few drops of essential oils if you have some. Many flower shops throw dead flowers away so ask your local florist if you can have some of their dead flowers for free. Dry out the flowers and use for potpourri.

4. Redecorate Your Bedroom By Cleaning The Carpet

Refresh your bedroom by removing the stains from the carpet

Tips For Removing CANDLE WAX from a carpet:

  • Take a piece of brown paper and place it over the candle wax.
  • Gently run a warm iron over the brown paper.
  • The wax will absorbed into the paper.
  • You can remove the oily residue using alcohol or dry cleaning fluid.

Tips For Removing SODA, COFFEE, BEER, and WINE from a carpet:

  • Blot the area with a white towel to remove as much of the stain as you can. Do not rub.
  • To neutralize the stain, mix 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 3/4 cup of water in a spray bottle and spray it on the stain.
  • Soak the spot with the vinegar solution and then blot to remove the excess moisture.
  • If the stain has still not lifted, mix 1 teaspoon of dish detergent, such as Joy, into 1 quart of water and apply to the area. Blot to work the detergent into the stain, then blot again to lift the stain. Repeat until the stain is gone.
  • Rinse with water and blot with a towel to soak up the excess water.
  • Do not use dish soap that contains bleach or lanolin, it will damage your carpet.

Nature has a way of refreshing anything

Refresh your bedroom for free with flowers or plants from your yard.

Candles are a nice way to add beauty and fragrance to a bedroom

Why not make a decorative candle piece by placing a pillar candle or two on a glass plate and pick a few pretty rocks or flower petals from your garden and place them on the plate around the base of the candle. Wouldn’t that look lovely?
